Women's Bundle UP is live and wow, it's a
great set of patterns!! It had the hardest time choosing what I wanted
to make for the blog tour. I finally decided that I HAD to do the
Jillian Tank. And I am so happy with it!
If
you are new to Bundle UP, it's a set of patterns by different, well known and established designers
and each one is NEW. You get to choose which patterns you want and by
bundling, you get an awesome discount! The more you bundle, the more you
save!
Like I said, I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted to review. But, I really needed some new work out shirts and summer tops and the Jillian Tank by Greenstyle was perfect for both!
I went with a sporty athletic look. I am really hoping some cute clothes motivates me to start running again. The pattern has a ton of options in it! I made the outer tank (shown in charcoal gray) and the inner tank (in red). The inner tank has cute double criss cross straps and binding along the neck line and arm holes. The outer tank has a wrap look with a banded hem. Both tanks were very quick sews! And EASY!!
The other options are sports bra, inner tank with built in sports bra, and bandeau. You can layer like I did above, or wear the inner tank or bandeau alone. The inner tank, sports bra, and bandeau work best with a knit fabric with great recovery and the outer tank can be knit or a super drapey woven like chiffon for a dressier look. I used cotton lycra for both of my tanks. They are very soft and comfy and the inner tank stays in place very well to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions at the gym.

The pattern itself features layers, which means you can print the size you need eliminating the need try to figure out which line is the size you need. This is especially a sweet feature if you print in grayscale like I do!
The instructions are clear and easy to follow and feature illustrations with actual pictures for added clarity for some steps. There are actual pattern pieces for all pieces, including the rectangle pieces like the straps and bottom band. All the pieces are clearly marked so it's easy to know what you need for the options you are using.

I made a medium and the fit was great! I am short, so I have a bit more of a drape in the front. I didn't shorten the pattern or anything, I sewed it up as is.
The back has some really nice coverage and doesn't shift around or anything. It's really comfy!
I definitely see myself making some more of these! In fact, my teen requested an inner tank and I really need to get to work on that. Good thing this pattern is fast! I can easily get one done during nap time. :)
So now, what are you going to bundle? I am LOVING the Real Deal Jeans by Winter Wear and the A-Line Shift Dress from Jocole is another must for me. And we can't forget the Everyday Essentials by EYMM! Oh, and the Bluezette by Love Notions! I don't know who I'm kidding, I'm probably going to end up with all of them!
So, what are you going to Bundle UP? You better hurry, you only have until May 8th!
Be sure to check out all the great bloggers on the tour! It's so fun to see how many different looks each pattern can take on! It can definitely make a pattern a MUST have!
And don't forget about the Giveaway happening over at Pattern Revolution!
I did receive a copy of the Jillian Tank as compensation for my review and participation in the blog tour. All opinions of the pattern are my own.
