ADVTee by Sofilantjes

Today I'm sharing my version of the ADVTee by Sofilantjes. I have never tried a pattern from Sofilantjes before. I have to say, they are really nicely done!
Loads of information written up in a very clean, easy to follow format. My son measured right at a 5 for width and at a 7 for length. I decided to sew a 6 for a bit more roominess since Thomas has wide shoulders for his chest measurement. The fit was perfect!

To add length, I did a faux layer look using some thermal I claimed from one of my older son's long out grown shirts. I added length to the sleeves by creating cuffs. I love how it turned out!!

I layered the short sleeve with the long sleeves to keep with the faux layered look.

The instructions for getting a nice even V are fabulous. However, using a stripe fabric makes the process waaaay harder. My V was even, but the stripes pulled a bit attaching the band. I'm really happy with the results and I know if it was a solid fabric for the shirt, that V would be perfect.

The pattern has two style options. The basic V neck that I sewed, and a fun yoke front V neck that has snaps. You can also choose short sleeve or long (or layer them like I did) and a pocket.

I definitely see more of these tees in our future. I need to make some for my daughter also. I love that the pattern goes to a 14 so I can do that. Kate is in a 12, so I can get a couple years for her out of this at least.
