It's here! It's time! And I am so excited!! It is officially Boys Can Wear Pink Season 2 here at Handmade Boy. Last year was such a success and so much fun that we just HAD to do it again! And once again, the bloggers are knocking it out of the park sewing up awesome and COOL pink for boys. And, we have another great giveaway thanks to our fab sponsors!
Now, I couldn't just sit back and host. I mean, I HAD to sew up something for Thomas as well. Mabel Madison has the most amazing poplin fabrics. They are seriously my new favs for button down shirts! I have been eyeing this sheep fabric for what feels like forever and finally ordered it and knew it was perfect for Thomas as soon as I had it in my hands.
I'll be sharing a tutorial for how I made this cool shirt with the Classic Oxford over on Peek-a-Boo Pages next month.
He totally owns this shirt. When I asked my husband if it looked boyish his response was,
"He's a boy. When you put it on him, it will be a boy's shirt."
Best thing he has ever said. Okay, in the top six.
My goal with this tour is to help everybody see this! Pink is a color!! If you put it on a boy, it's a boy's color. Putting a boy in pink doesn't make him a girl. Or a sissy, or a wuss. We need to stop stereotyping colors!
Three bloggers are on our tour today so hop on over to each one and check out their amazing looks.
Katy at Wild & Wanderful made her spunky little boy a cool pink button down of his own.
Sarah over at Made by Jack's Mum made her darling baby boy his very own pink shirt also! Pink shirts for all the boys!!!
Give me a show of hands if you think boys rock pink! Rachel from Handcrafted by RED and her cutie agree!!
Day one is really kicking off with a bang! Our fabulous sponsor Patterns for Pirates has the perfect accessory for sneaking just a touch of pink into your boy's wardrobe.
Hope over to the Patterns for Pirates blog to get the free bowtie pattern!
Okay, I told you we had a giveaway all planned out. And today I am going to let you know what it is! My most fabulously amazing sponsors are going to give one lucky winner the following:
